Thrift Store Finds

 Christmas thrifting has been
pretty good this year,
as you can see with this cute angel,
 candle holder,

 and wreath!
Plus, I was so excited to find
this mushroom latch hook rug kit!
That will be a great
after Christmas project!
And, I found a great Frank Sinatra
record with the best songs!
Bye for now!

What I Wore

What I wore for after Thanksgiving shopping:
Skirt, blouse, shoes, belt and bag: thrift
Black top and tights: Target
Coat: H & M
Rhinestone pins: vintage
Christmas flower loom pin: Pretty Posh Posie pin
made by me
I bought this coat at H&M because I
love the style and the fact that it has a hood
(I'll try and get a pic of the hood soon).
Can't ever find anything like this at the thrift
and I'm not quite that good of a sewer yet.

Bye for now!

Sunrise, Sunset

 Lately we've been having some
beautiful sunrises....

 and sunsets.
 I especially love that time,
when the street lights
have just come on.

Vintage Illustrations

 Here is some wonderful art
from the book
"Robert Louis Stevenson's Garden Verses"
illustrated by Alice and Martin Provensen.

 They are another favorite
when it comes to illustrators.
There is tons of great art
in this book,
so I just chose the fallish ones
to highlight this time.

Thrift Store Finds

 Found at the thrift:
One very cute owl plaque!

 A sweet little Christmas wreath.

And a bag of gold pom pom trim!
Oh, and maybe a furry tail...

That belongs to a furry kitty!

1st Snow

We got our first snow of the season
last week,
but you'd never know it.
As I write this it's in the 50s
and sunny!
That's Minnesota weather for you!
We may get up to the 60s before Thanksgiving,
and then by Friday we'll be back to normal
(30s and 40s).
Which will be helpful
to get me in the spirit of decorating for Christmas!
Bye for now!

More Estate Sale Finds

 This particular estate sale
was the best I've been to in a long time!
I mean, check out this Avon owl pomander
for $2!
 And this 70s bank
for 50 cents!
I nearly died when I saw the price!
 I really love this fall
paint by number painting.
And this horse paint by number
is perfect for my daughters room.
Both were just 50 cents!
And I couldn't resist this sweet
little gingerbread ornament.
