Goodbye to the wonderful actor,
Jonathan Frid.
He died last weekend at 87.
He brought the character of vampire Barnabus Collins to life
(or death)
in a way no other actor could.
Dark Shadows will probably go down
as my favorite tv show of all time.
It was the something I had to look forward to
every day after school,
and I couldn't wait to get home and watch it.
And I don't think it would have been as compelling
without Mr. Frid.
He was the first to make vampires
emotional and conflicted.
And he did it with style and grace.
